Joining Groups

To join a Group in Geochat you have two options:

  1. Directly join to groups with no join approval required.
  2. Send a request to join to groups with join approval required.

Groups in Geochat are also divided into two different types:

  1. Public these are the groups that you can search, that are viewable for all.
  2. Private these are the groups that you cannot see in a search, you can only reach these groups if are invited.

Search groups

In the public groups page you will see a list of groups. You can search in the list using the search box or just browse the list and select a group. There you will be able to:

  1. Search for a public group writing the group name or part of it in the Search Box.
  2. Join a group
  3. Send a request to join into a group. In this case you will need to wait for the administrator of the group to approve your request to join.

Receive an invitation to join a group

You can be invited to join a group, you will be able to see the invitations in the Pending Invitations folder inside My groups

If you click on Pending Invitations you will see the list of invitations there you can either accept or reject the invitation by clicking in the correspondent link.

You can also leave the group by clicking on the leave group button at the end of each group page. You will be able to leave a group if you are not the only owner of it.
